Summary

Summary
The purpose of the review was to evaluate selected operations, focusing on patient care administration and quality management (QM). During the review, OIG provided crime awareness briefings to 93 employees. This review focused on eight operational activities. The facility complied with selected standards in the following six activities: (1) coordination of care, (2) management of workplace violence, (3) medication management, (4) physician credentialing and privileging, (5) QM, and (6) registered nurse competencies. The facility’s reported accomplishment was improved accuracy of patient identification. OIG made recommendations for improvement in the following two activities (1) enteral nutrition safety and (2) environment of care.
