Summary

Summary
The purpose of the review was to evaluate selected operations, focusing on patient care administration and quality management (QM). During the review, we provided crime awareness briefings to 276 employees. This review focused on eight operational activities. The facility complied with selected standards in the following four activities: (1) coordination of care, (2) management of workplace violence, (3) QM, and (4) registered nurse competencies. The facility’s reported accomplishments were the implementation of innovative patient transition of care strategies and an automated mammography tracking and reporting program. OIG made recommendations for improvement in the following four activities: (1) physician credentialing and privileging, (2) environment of care, (3) enteral nutrition safety, and (4) medication management.
