Summary

Summary
The purpose of the review was to evaluate selected operations, focusing on patient care administration and quality management (QM). During the review, OIG provided crime awareness briefings to 94 employees. This review focused on eight operational activities. The facility complied with selected standards in the following three activities: (1) moderate sedation, (2) Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Centers, and (3) QM. The facility’s reported accomplishments were the implementation of an electronic tool for hazardous material inventory and a Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center that surpassed requirements and has a graduation rate above the national average. OIG made recommendations for improvement in the following five activities: (1) environment of care, (2) colorectal cancer screening, (3) coordination of care, (4) medication management, and (5) polytrauma.
