Summary

Summary
The purpose of the review was to evaluate selected operations, focusing on patient care administration and quality management (QM). During the review, OIG provided crime awareness briefings to 255 employees. This review focused on eight operational activities. The facility complied with selected standards in the following two activities (1) coordination of care and (2) management of workplace violence. The facility’s reported accomplishments were being recognized as a Center of Excellence for Primary Care Education and implementing the hospitalist program. OIG made recommendations for improvement in the following six activities: (1) QM, (2) physician credentialing and privileging, (3) registered nurse competencies, (4), environment of care, (5) enteral nutrition safety, and (6) medication management.
