Summary

Summary
The purpose of the review was to evaluate selected operations, focusing on patient care administration and quality management (QM). During the review, we provided crime awareness briefings to 342 employees. This review focused on eight operational activities. The facility complied with selected standards in the management of workplace violence activity. The facility’s reported accomplishments were the implementation of an employee recognition program, a safe patient handling program, a home infusion program, and an automated hand hygiene tracking system. OIG made recommendations for improvement in the following seven activities: (1) QM, (2) physician credentialing and privileging, (3) environment of care, (4) enteral nutrition safety, (5) registered nurse competencies, (6) medication management, and (7) coordination of care.
