Summary
The purpose of the review was to evaluate selected operations, focusing on patient care administration and quality management (QM). During the review, we provided crime awareness briefings to 274 employees. This review focused on seven operational activities. The facility complied with selected standards in the following three activities: (1) coordination of care, (2) medication management, and (3) QM. The facility’s reported accomplishments were winning the Carey Award for performance achievement, making community living center improvements, and improving patient flow and access. We made recommendations for improvement in the following four activities: Environment of care. Management of multidrug-resistant organisms. Management of test results. Physician credentialing and privileging.
